Nudity required

A Texas naturist club on 98 acres of oak woodland and meadows north of Decatur, an hour from Fort Worth, open all year round. It stands out for a clear-cut choice: it is not clothing optional; nudity is the rule in the common areas when weather and health permit, and it is mandatory in the pool and the hot tub. The grounds are the best thing about it: woodland trails, clearings with seasonal wildflowers, century-old oaks to read under, and a well-kept five-kilometre running trail that hosts the Skinnydipper Sun Run on the last Saturday of every April. There is a pool, a hot tub, water volleyball, horseshoes and billiards tournaments; in winter life moves into the clubhouse with cards, dominoes, team trivia and shared dinners. Accommodation is in cabins with private bathroom and porch, on RV sites with full hookups, or in tents. Visits must be arranged in advance and are only allowed from Friday to Sunday. People who go there almost always speak of it enthusiastically, describing a welcoming community and a superbly kept place; the few criticisms concern unanswered phone calls and emails.
