The only naturist resort in Virginia, open since 1984 in the woods near Ivor, an hour from Norfolk. It is equipped for year-round stays: besides the outdoor pool with a shallow end for children, there is a heated indoor pool, a hot tub, a sauna and a gym, so the resort stays lively in winter. Around these are sand and water volleyball, mini golf, pétanque, giant chess, a games room, and in the evening dances, DJs, karaoke and movie nights in the large events hall. You can sleep in a tent, a motorhome, a room, a cabin or the new park models with two bedrooms and a kitchen. Much of the staff lives on the resort, and this shows in the welcome: many guests describe first visits that went very well, with staff explaining the rules and etiquette. Recent criticisms concern maintenance — bathrooms and indoor pool not always clean, basic accommodation — and a few episodes of strained relations with the management. The rules are strict: nudity required in common areas and pools, no photographic devices allowed.
