A member-owned naturist club on the outskirts of Hamilton, in the Waikato countryside: five hectares of land, about one of them developed, with a wooden clubhouse, a solar-heated saltwater pool, a wood-fired spa pool, mini golf, a miniten court, a children's play area and shaded paths along the boundary stream, where you can feed the semi-tame eels. Accommodation is camping-style: 15 powered and 25 unpowered sites for motorhomes, caravans and tents, plus a cabin for two adults without a kitchen (the clubhouse kitchen is used). Affiliated with the NZNF; visitors holding an NZNF/INF or NZMCA card are admitted at a reduced rate, others must ask for approval before arriving, and visits by non-members are limited to three a year. The rules require complete nudity in the pool; no pets. Club life is very sociable: events organised on the third Saturday of the month, shared dinners, spontaneous lawn games and a Mini Rally every Waitangi weekend in February. It is a quiet and welcoming place with well-kept gardens, and a good base for trips in the area (Rotorua, Waitomo and Raglan about an hour away). Suited to families and to those looking for a club atmosphere rather than a resort.
