Vista Bonita

Small resort in the Mow Hotels group, reserved for gay men and lesbians, in a quiet residential neighbourhood of Sonnenland, in Maspalomas. There are around twenty 55-square-metre duplexes, with the terrace overlooking the garden and the pool on the ground floor and the balcony in the bedroom, plus a few one-bedroom apartments. The sunbeds, the pool, which is heated in winter, and the jacuzzi are a nudist area; breakfast is served at the poolside bar, and some felt the nudity was a bit much at that hour, while others say they stay nude all day in the various areas of the resort. The bar is the meeting point, with music and staff who help people get to know each other, but those who prefer to keep to themselves will find room to do so. On the roof there are a solarium and a sauna, plus massages and an outdoor gym. Guests particularly praise the staff. The drawback is the location: Yumbo and the gay beach are not easily reached on foot and you depend on taxis or buses, although there is a supermarket next door. Some also complain that the cleaning and the breakfast are not up to the price. Pets are allowed and solo travellers come here too; the guests also include lesbian women.
