Vera Natura

Vera Natura is neither a campsite nor a hotel: it is the name under which private apartments are rented within six adjoining naturist developments in Vera Playa, on the Almería coast, one of the few places in Europe where naturism is the norm across an entire residential neighbourhood. The main complex is fenced and immaculately kept, with lawns, palm trees, fountains, a large outdoor pool and a heated indoor pool that makes it usable in winter too, and it has gates opening directly onto the naturist beach of El Playazo. Around it are a chiringuito and restaurant, petanque pitches, beach volleyball and beach football, and a supermarket, pharmacy and shops a few minutes' walk away. The thing to know before booking is that each apartment belongs to a different owner: those who have stayed describe flawless units and others in need of renovation, so it matters a lot to look at the photos and understand who you are booking with. Dogs are allowed; the atmosphere is quiet, with many northern European winter residents; not really designed for children, who are nevertheless welcome.
