Valley View Recreation Club

A historic Midwest nudist club, founded in 1945 on seventeen acres of meadow and woodland in the township of Cambridge, about twenty minutes from Madison but tucked away at the end of a country road. It is a club in the full sense: since 2026, to get in you need an AANR or TNS card or must buy one of the club's own entry packages. The campground has tent sites with and without hook-ups, RV sites up to full hook-ups with 50-amp power and sewer, as well as two suites in the office building, three cottage rooms and two cabins. The heart of community life is the saltwater pool heated to twenty-nine degrees, with the sunbathing lawn and the shaded pavilion next to it; then there are the clubhouse with a fully equipped kitchen, pizza oven, table tennis and board games, the beach volleyball court, the pickleball court, two fire pits with firewood provided and woodland trails. The summer calendar is packed with events: volleyball tournaments, the music weekend, the nudist version of a classic car show and Wisconsin's Naked Mile. The rules are explicit and strict: nudity is required, and mandatory in the pool, cameras are absolutely forbidden (even phone lenses must be covered), and there is zero tolerance for sexualised behaviour. Solo travellers are welcome on the same terms as everyone else (AANR or TNS card or a club package, except on special event weekends). For those seeking peace and quiet, the club itself recommends weekdays; at weekends and during events, with karaoke, bands and the car show, things get very busy.
