A volunteer-run naturist club since 1937, set in 5 acres of countryside and woodland in North Yorkshire, on the edge of Harrogate. A member of British Naturism and INF-FNI. Nudity is expected in good weather; clothing is accepted on cold or rainy days. Open to members all year round; visitors are welcome from early/mid-April to late October (weather permitting) and currently only from Friday afternoon to Sunday afternoon, including day visits by arrangement. Tents, trailer tents, caravans and motorhomes are accepted (no electric hook-ups, portable generators allowed); there is no accommodation for rent. Two shower blocks, separate men's/women's toilets, free showers, chemical disposal, a clubhouse with a licensed bar open in the evenings at weekends, and large lawns for sunbathing. Club life is very sociable: 9-hole pitch & putt with a Saturday competition, boules on Sundays, badminton and miniten, themed evenings with dinner, karaoke, quizzes, communal barbecues and parties. The website states that singles, couples, families with children and groups of friends are all welcome; those who have been describe a warm welcome for groups of young people and for the LGBTQ+ community too. Well-behaved dogs are allowed on a lead. Advance booking via a form; photo ID with address is required on arrival; the club does not tolerate sexual behaviour. Guests speak only well of it, with no problems reported.
