A clothing optional resort on the banks of the Suwannee River in north Florida, restricted to adults aged 21 and over: no children, and that is the first thing that sets it apart. It is owned by a Navy veteran, and it shows — events for military personnel and first responders, dedicated discounts, a wall of honour and the national anthem at weekends. You can stay in an RV (all sites are pull-through with full hookups), in a tent, or in one of the rental cabins and trailers a short walk from the pool. Life centres on the pool and hot tub area — the only places where nudity is required — with the Freedom bar and the restaurant open Friday to Sunday, live music on an outdoor stage with a fire pit and, when it rains, inside the lodge. Around it are trails, a pickleball court, a nine-hole golf course and the river. The FAQ explicitly state that same-sex couples are welcome. Almost everyone talks about the welcome and the family atmosphere among regulars; criticisms concern the entry rules: on their first visits, those coming alone, man or woman, are only admitted during the day from Monday to Thursday, a background check is carried out on the first visit, and after three visits membership of an American naturist federation (AANR or TNS) is required, which can be obtained on site. There is also one recent, isolated report of an unpleasant incident with a bar employee.

Clothing optional

Do I have to be naked right away at your resort? No, but we are clothes free in the pool and spa area. You have the choice to be dressed or not dressed in all the other areas. We do this to keep gawkers away.
