Naturism in the United States: laws and customs →
Clothing optional

A nudist community founded in 1963 in Volusia County, north-central Florida, between Orlando, St. Augustine and the Daytona beaches, near the Ocala National Forest. Today it is mainly a residential community for over-55s (at least one member of the household must be 55 or older), with manufactured homes for sale, including on a rent-to-own basis, and equipped RV sites for rigs up to 42 feet, bookable from a weekend to a whole year. Non-residents enter with a day, weekly, monthly or annual pass, to be bought online before arrival: it is valid from 9 am to 6 pm, is restricted to over-18s, does not allow pets, is not sold on event days and involves consenting to a possible background check. The pass is open to any adult, including those coming alone. Nudity is welcome everywhere and required in the pool; the rules stress family-friendly, non-sexual nudism. In recent years guests report a change of management, with the spa and restaurant-bar closed and the pool unheated in winter: it is worth asking beforehand what is open.
