Naturism in the United States: laws and customs →
Nudity required

Historic naturist park, founded in 1947 and run as a members' cooperative, in a wooded area on the edge of Granger, a few kilometres north-east of South Bend (Indiana). It is a private club but open to day visitors and campers: tent and RV sites with water and electricity (no sewer hookup), primitive camping and seven air-conditioned chalets for rent. The centre of park life is the heated outdoor pool with deck, sauna and hot tub, around which revolve pickleball, beach volleyball, pétanque, horseshoes and shuffleboard; at weekends the clubhouse café serves breakfast and the season is punctuated by potlucks, DJ nights, community campfires and group dinners. Naturism is the norm in the common areas and mandatory in the pool and hot tub; the tone is avowedly family-oriented, with a playground and firm rules on behaviour. It is described as a quiet, clean and welcoming place, frequented mostly by seasonal members who leave their RV on site, with few sites for those passing through: it's best to call ahead. Open from 1 May to 30 September; AANR-affiliated (Midwest region).
