Small naturist complex of 17 apartments in Charco del Palo, the naturist village on the north-east coast of Lanzarote. For years it was run by the German tour operator Oböna, from which it takes its name; after the travel agency closed in 2021 the partners kept it going, and today it is presented by a website of its own belonging to the company Obona. The apartments, with one or two bedrooms, kitchen and sea-view terrace, are arranged around a large heated pool overlooking the ocean; within the complex there are also a sauna, a small gym and the Cueva Paloma restaurant with bar. A path in front of the complex leads to the natural seawater pools, and the village's shops and bars are a short walk away. It has recently been described as a very quiet place, frequented mainly by older guests, with praise for the manager and the pool; criticisms concern somewhat dated furnishings, apartment cleaning not included during the stay, the sauna being charged extra, and the wind. A group of young people complained of feeling watched by some guests. Not to be confused with the other “Castillo de Papagayo” complex nearby, on calle Seifio.
