A non-profit naturist club founded in 1934, the oldest in the United States, set in the woods of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, not far from Washington DC: 98 acres of woodland crossed by a creek that runs down to the Patuxent River, with trails where you may spot deer. You can sleep in a few rustic wooden cabins for rent or on sites for tents, RVs and trailers; there is a pool, the only place where nudity is compulsory (elsewhere you are free to be dressed), a grill area for cooking, and at weekends there are often events with food, as well as the traditional Halloween party. It welcomes singles, couples, families and groups, with a day rate for a single person; every visit must be booked at least 24 hours in advance and the club may ask new guests for an introductory phone call. Pets allowed on a leash, not in the pool or the clubhouse. Those who have been describe warmly the members' welcome, the quiet, clean atmosphere and the pleasure of walking naked in nature.
