A small clothing-optional guesthouse for adults, aimed at the LGBTQIA+ community, in the rainforest of the Puna district on Hawaii's Big Island, a few minutes' walk from the black-sand beach of Kehena, which is also used without swimwear. The wooden house, surrounded by a large tropical garden, has five private rooms that are very different from one another: a suite with its own bathroom, the others with shared bathrooms, including a greenhouse room open to the forest and a loft. The kitchen, living room and veranda are shared, as are a large cedar hot tub and an outdoor shower; you can be nude throughout the property. On Mondays there is a barbecue with a shared dinner that is also open to locals, and with a day pass you can come just for the day. The place is quiet and secluded, with the feel of a communal hostel frequented mostly by gay men but open to everyone, and guests praise the manager; some find the rooms small. The website itself presents some spaces as places for intimate encounters, including with strangers: this is not a place for those looking for family naturism. It is a good base for Volcanoes National Park and for Pāhoa.
