Dedicated naturist area

A large campsite on the Kovačine peninsula, just over a kilometre north of the centre of Cres, to which it is linked by a seafront promenade. It is not a naturist campsite in the strict sense: it is a mixed site, where part of the roughly 950 pitches (the website gives both 250 and, in the details, about 150) — the green zone, facing the sea — and a reserved stretch of the pebble beach are set aside for naturists, while everything else is textile. The pitches are spread among pines and olive trees over 27 hectares; in addition there are mobile homes, rooms in the Tamaris house, a complex with two pools, a gym and a sauna, restaurants, a shop, a diving school and children's entertainment. The beach has a Blue Flag and is also equipped for wheelchair access. The surrounding island — Lubenice, Valun, Beli, the trails and the coves — is the main reason to stay several days. Guests also describe the flip side: in high season it is very crowded, the beach fills up to the point of leaving little room, the pitches are tight for long vehicles, and internal car and camper traffic is the most frequent complaint. Those who use the naturist part also report that the area has shrunk over the years and that the boundary with the textile part is not strictly enforced. Suited to those looking for full facilities and organised activities; less so to those who want a small, quiet campsite or a clear-cut naturist setting.
