Naturism in the United States: laws and customs →
Nudity required

A long-established naturist club in Missouri, founded in the early 1950s by a group of couples from St. Louis on 40 acres of hillside in Lonedell; today it is owned by its members, who number more than 200, and welcomes hundreds of visitors every year. It is open to visitors from early March to late October, every day. The rules ask everyone, children included, to be naked. Families are explicitly welcome and the price list includes a day rate for those coming alone, while the club makes clear that it is not a place for casual hook-ups. Facilities include a saltwater pool, water volleyball, a hot tub, woodland trails, a fishing pond, pétanque, horseshoe and pickleball courts and a mini golf course; accommodation is in tents, in RVs with hookups or in rustic cabins. Social life is lively, with shared dinners, dances and themed events such as the Labor Day weekend. The club is highly regarded, especially for the welcome it gives first-timers.
