Finca La Maroma

Gay guest house created from an old finca at an altitude of 420 metres, among the olive trees of the hills above Sedella, about fifty minutes by car from Málaga. You sleep in a few studios with kitchens and in a separate casita, with your own terrace and outdoor shower; the owners live on site. The pool, hot tub and sun terraces are clothing optional, and people choose the place above all for the silence and the view of the mountains: you cook for yourself, but two or three evenings a week there is an optional paid communal dinner, the easiest way to meet the other guests. There is also a gym and yoga mats, and the trails of the Sierras of Tejeda and Almijara natural park are close by; in spring there are walking weeks and nude yoga retreats reserved for men. The website does not say whether the rest of the season is also reserved for men, but some describe it as a men-only retreat: anyone who is not a man would do well to ask first. You need a car: the last stretch is a long, winding dirt track that makes those who do not enjoy driving uneasy, and the nearest restaurants are a quarter of an hour or more away. The nearest naturist beach is Almayate, about half an hour away. Booking is by email only, with no agencies; there is a discount for those staying alone in a studio, and pets are not allowed.
