Finca Franca

A small adults-only naturist property, for ages 18 and over, on a 3,000-square-metre plot among centuries-old olive trees, at an altitude of about 800 metres in the countryside of Villanueva del Trabuco, halfway between Málaga and Granada. It was opened recently by Peter and Refke, a Dutch couple who fell in love with the area during a naturist holiday and who describe themselves as gay friendly. There are just three studios for up to two people, each with its own entrance, kitchenette, bathroom and terrace; around them are a well-kept garden where you can walk around naked, a 6.5 by 3 metre pool, a wood-fired barrel sauna and a hot tub available at set times, an honesty bar and a boules court. There is no restaurant and no entertainment: this is a place designed for resting, reading and changing pace. If you feel like being active, there are trails and cycling roads, El Torcal de Antequera 48 minutes away and the Caminito del Rey just over an hour away; the nudist beach of Guadalmar is 50 minutes away, and two traditional bar-restaurants are a 20-minute walk. Pets are not allowed and the minimum stay is two nights.
