A small naturist campsite in west Wales, near the village of Maesycrugiau, on the border between Carmarthenshire and Ceredigion — what the Welsh call "the real Wales". The name means "meadow in the wood", and it is an accurate description: grassy pitches overlooking the Teifi valley and the Llanllwni mountains, with nothing built up around them. It has been run for nine years and remains a gentle work in progress: returning guests find something new each time. The facilities are the essentials done well — a shower block with hot water, shaver and hairdryer sockets, drinking water, chemical disposal, recycling, a kitchen area for those in tents, and metered electric hook-ups on all pitches. A pub and a bus stop are within useful distance. Nudity is optional: the website puts it in writing, dressed or undressed as you prefer, with company or on your own. Families come, and dogs are allowed. And it is one of the few British naturist campsites open all year round.
