Casa Vista (Boutique Naturist Apartments)

Studio apartment for rent on the second floor of the Bahía de Vera naturist development, in the heart of the naturist zone of Vera Playa (Almería), five minutes' walk from the two kilometres of naturist beach. It is not a hospitality business with a reception: it is an apartment managed directly by the owners, recently renovated, with a south-east-facing terrace overlooking the sea and the development, a fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning and a lift. What makes it interesting is the setting more than the apartment itself. Bahía de Vera is a gated, guarded complex with free parking, two outdoor pools among the gardens and an indoor saltwater pool heated to 31–32 degrees and open all year; nudity is compulsory in the pools, while elsewhere in the development clothing is optional. There is also a social club with sofas, wifi and a book-swap library, plus a table-tennis table, tennis and pétanque. Outside the gate there are restaurants, bars and a supermarket five minutes' walk away (outside the naturist zone, so dressed). Under-18s and pets are not accepted. Suited to a couple wanting a quiet base, even for long stays — the monthly winter rates suggest it is also intended for overwintering — less so to those looking for entertainment or organised group life.
