Three-room B&B in the Algaiat valley, in the Alicante hinterland, among almond trees, olive trees and vines: the airport and the beaches of Santa Pola are 30-40 minutes away, and you need a car to explore the area. It is run from their own home by Andrew and Martyn, a British gay couple. The point to clear up before you go is naturism itself: the place began as a naturist retreat and cannot be seen from outside, but the owners openly write that clothed guests outnumber naturist ones and that those who declare themselves naturists are accommodated as far as possible. So you may end up sharing the pool with people who stay in swimwear: it is worth mentioning this when booking. The rooms have a bathroom, stocked fridge, coffee machine and bathrobes; outside there is a heated 10-by-5-metre saltwater pool, a hot tub, a wood-fired sauna and a garden that is still growing. Full board is also available on request. Guests, especially couples, appreciate the care of the hosts, the generous welcome pack, the hearty breakfast with eggs from their own hens, the quiet and the view of the mountains. Three dogs live in the house.
