Naturist (policy unspecified)

Member-owned naturist resort founded in 1991 at the foot of the Blue Ridge Mountains, in South Carolina, about an hour from Asheville (NC) and Greenville (SC). It covers more than 50 acres, 30 of them woodland, with two pools (one saltwater), a hot tub, a clubhouse with a shared kitchen, a fire pit area, a pickleball court, mini golf, an outdoor fitness area and trails through the woods, along a creek and to a clearing (on foot, by bike or by golf cart). It is open all year, with reduced hours from November to March and extended hours from April to October. All visitors, including day visitors, must first pass a criminal background check; the day rate is the same for couples, families and singles. Nudity is compulsory in the pool and hot tub; the common areas become 21-and-over only after 9 pm. Social life is busy, with themed weekends, DJs and dancing, and the Buck Creek Streak nude run. You can stay in a tent, an RV or caravan, a cabin or platform tents; pets are welcome on a lead and allowed only in some rental units. Guests speak very highly of it.
