Naturism in the United States: laws and customs →
Nudity required

A former cattle ranch turned into a naturist resort of over 300 acres in Reidsville (North Carolina), in operation since 1989 (37 seasons). At its centre is a 7-acre lake well stocked with fish (bass and sunfish), with pedal boats and canoes, and miles of trails for hiking, cycling and golf carts. Tent sites (no hookups, no pets) and RV/caravan sites (water/electric hookups, pets allowed on a lead, $35/night). Cabins on the property are privately owned by members (not bookable by the public). Two clubhouses: a large one for parties/table tennis/billiards/communal dinners, and a small one with a kitchen, cable TV, air conditioning and Wi-Fi. Pool with a lounger area. It is a nudist club, not clothing optional: everyone who enters is expected to undress when the weather allows. Access is restricted to those over 21. Visitors enter with a day membership at weekends; for reasons of gender balance, unaccompanied single males must phone in advance to check whether admission is available.
