A small private naturist village in the hills of the Monferrato area near Asti, at Cortazzone: 3.5 hectares with a farmhouse dating from 1908, woodland and meadows on a hillside, run directly by the owner and home to the AssoNatura association. Its heart is the terrace at the top of the hill with the above-ground pool (11.5×5 m), the 5-seat outdoor jacuzzi, sun loungers and a self-service bar where you pay by leaving money in a bowl; there is also a hammock area in the woods, internal paths that can be walked nude, a vegetable garden and a room for yoga and meditation. You can sleep in the two rustic rooms of the "Raggio di Sole" B&B in the farmhouse, or at the "retro campsite" in the woods: 17 tent pitches, a few places for motorhomes/caravans, 5 caravans and 4 wooden cabins on wheels for rent, with a single toilet block. Overnight stays at the campsite are included in the daily fee, but you need the annual AssoNatura card and must pay in cash. The offer centres on relaxation and well-being (massages, weekend packages), with naked yoga, aqua aerobics, karaoke and a Saturday night disco in summer. Particular rules: single men are only admitted if accompanied by a woman, nudity is expected everywhere as soon as the weather allows (from the second visit onwards swimwear is no longer allowed), and smoking is forbidden outside designated areas; dogs on a lead are allowed. Visitors describe a quiet, simple and informal setting, suitable for couples and families; some complain of high prices for what is offered, tight spaces for motorhomes, mosquitoes and an older average age. The place is openly spartan (dirt roads, steps, slopes) and the manager himself advises against it for people with mobility difficulties. Open every day from mid-May to mid-September; B&B and massages all year round.

Nudity required

Being naked is a pleasure and is voluntary (so we cannot call it "compulsory"), but precisely for this reason we ask you, wherever the temperature allows, to be naked everywhere and at all times, whatever activity you are doing [...] From your second visit onwards it is no longer possible to wear a swimsuit [...] Teenagers and children must be naked like everyone else.
