Naturism in France: laws and customs →
Nudity required

A naturist village in the hinterland of Porto-Vecchio, in southern Corsica: thirty hectares of cork oak and holm oak woodland on a valley slope, crossed by the Furcone stream, with waterfalls and natural pools where you can swim a few minutes' walk from the pitches. The sea is eight kilometres away, but people come here for the river and the tranquillity. The fifty pitches are set on shaded terraces, while eight dry-stone cottages — the "casetti", sleeping two to six, with an outdoor kitchen and terrace — are the more comfortable alternative. There is a single central hub of facilities: pool, bar-restaurant and toilet block, all decorated with handmade mosaics. There are tennis, badminton, volleyball and table tennis courts, and nearby megalithic sites, a riding stable and the hikes of the Alta Rocca. Naturism here is compulsory and the management takes it seriously: one guest recounts a clothed visitor being asked to undress. Be prepared for ants and pitches some distance from the facilities; in the evening the restaurant is not always available.
