Val Drôme Soleil

A family naturist campsite in the Drôme valley, above Mirabel-et-Blacons, between Crest and Die, run by a Dutch family. The roughly 120 pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes are spread over terraces on a sloping 30-hectare site, among oaks and pines, with many views of the mountains; on the steepest spots the manager helps position caravans with an off-road vehicle, and the terrain is not suitable for wheelchairs. Besides the pitches, seven gîtes in a Provençal-style building, a small hikers' hut and some caravans belonging to seasonal guests are available for rent. There is a pool with a children's pool, a small indoor pool heated in the low season, a sauna, a bar with a view, a restaurant and a naturist trail of about an hour and a half within the grounds; the river Drôme is about twenty minutes' walk away. The entertainment programme is packed, especially in July and August: pétanque, aqua aerobics, theme nights with buffet and music, a Saturday night disco, activities for children and teenagers, dinner dances, weekly guided hikes and canoeing, rafting and canyoning trips. Dinner is taken at a communal table, and there people wear clothes. Children are welcome, as are dogs on a lead (there is a meadow where they can run free) and solo travellers, with a single-person rate. Guests who have stayed there praise the cleanliness, facilities and scenery; the clientele is largely Dutch and several French-speaking guests felt somewhat out of place. Since 2026 day visits are accepted only while places last, without booking.
