Undarius Hotel

A small hotel exclusively for gay men in Chihuahua, on the coast of the Maldonado department, about fifteen kilometres west of Punta del Este: it lies in an area of pine woods a few minutes' walk from the naturist beach of Playa Chihuahua, which the website presents as the only one in the country, and about 300 metres from another naturist hotel, El Refugio. It is run directly by its owners. The rooms are doubles (standard for one or two people, superior for up to three, with a kitchenette), and there is also a shared room with four beds for those on a budget. The heart of hotel life is the garden, with a solar-heated outdoor pool open from November to March, a jacuzzi available all year round and a sauna: there, as in the rest of the property, nudity is optional. Breakfast is included; there are a bar and snacks until the evening, lunch and dinner, massages, laundry and bicycle hire, and nearby there are trails through the pine woods and the lagoon with plenty of birds. It is open all year, welcomes solo travellers as well as couples and friends, does not admit under-18s and accepts pets on request. Those who have stayed, including in 2026, speak very highly of it and appreciate the owners' hospitality, the cleanliness and a relaxed atmosphere in which it is easy to make friends with the other guests, mostly men aged 35 and over; the criticisms mainly concern small and somewhat dated rooms.
