Ulysse is the first historic residence of the Village Naturiste de Leucate (45 hectares in total), founded in 1968 on 4 hectares right on the beach, in Languedoc. Its supervised naturist beach was ranked first in the world Top 10 of naturist beaches (L'Indépendant, 2014). It offers studios (T1) and one-bedroom apartments (T2) to rent, as well as the association-run GCU-Ulysse campsite (about 85 pitches, open from late April to late September) and a cabana for 5 people. The campsite is run by the GCU association (Groupement des Campeurs Universitaires) with volunteer members: according to several guests, those who stay take turns helping with reception and cleaning, and community life revolves around aperitifs, Saturday dinners and games of pétanque. Facilities: Le Pénélope restaurant/bar, swimming pool, tennis court, table tennis, pétanque, solarium, children's playground, private car park. Nearby: sailing, windsurfing, kitesurfing, canoeing, diving, a cycle path and hiking trails.
