A small naturist campsite in the green surroundings of Smørum, just west of Copenhagen, with a bus stop 800 metres away. It used to be Tysmosen Naturist Camping; after buying it, the national association Danske Naturister now runs it as an "outdoor centre" open to everyone, with one simple rule: dress is optional, you wear clothes or take them off as you prefer, and toilets and showers are shared by men and women. There are pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes, three shelters with a fire pit and space to hang a hammock; check-in and check-out are self-service, with online booking. Facilities include a swimming pool with a large furnished wooden deck, open from early July to mid-August, a coin-operated sauna, a heated outdoor tub, a shared kitchen, a herb garden guests can use, a playground, a nature fitness trail, pétanque and lawn games. In autumn there are sauna evenings with steam infusions, without swimwear. Regulars describe a small, quiet and spotless place full of birds, with a mixed but mostly naturist clientele and a welcome that is open even to people who have never tried it; some found the pool and sauna closed or the managers not very warm. Dogs are allowed at no extra charge.
