Terre de Soleil

A couples-only naturist campsite on a 20-hectare estate among the vineyards of Pinet, between Mèze and Marseillan, a few kilometres from the Thau lagoon and about twenty minutes from Agde. The shaded pitches for tents, caravans and motorhomes lie beneath the trees; for rent there are air-conditioned mobile homes, mobil-rooms furnished like hotel rooms, wooden chalets with shared bathrooms and ready-pitched tents. Life centres on the pool with its wooden sun deck, next to the Le Patio bar-restaurant: in summer there is aqua aerobics, yoga, pétanque, a jacuzzi, theme nights, karaoke, live music and, on Sundays, paella and a foam party. Nudity is compulsory only to enter the pool, and elsewhere many people stay dressed or wear a sarong. The libertine character is openly declared: on the same estate, about 300 metres away, are the Le Palaisia restaurant with erotic shows and the libertine club L'Extasia, and during the day a small wood is reserved for couples seeking privacy. Couples, trios of one man and two women, and single women are welcome; single men, trios of two men and one woman, and children are not admitted. Pets are allowed on a lead, but not near the pool. Guests who have been coming back for years appreciate the atmosphere and the food; recurring criticisms include the disco music until late at night, a welcome that is not always friendly and having to pay for the pool loungers.
