SunEden is a large South African naturist resort (35 hectares) founded in 1995, a cooperative of 50 naturist shareholders, near the Dinokeng reserve, north of Pretoria, reached via a stretch of dirt road. It offers dozens of houses and apartments for rent in three price bands, as well as a caravan/motorhome/tent park and glamping-style safari tents. Facilities include a heated outdoor pool, EdenSpa (heated indoor pool and sauna), a 9-hole golf course, canoes on the pond, the Kraaines shop, the SunCafé restaurant (now run independently), the Bosveld Lapa pub with fireplaces and dance evenings, the Bare Boma evening campfire and a bird hide (over 100 bird species, impala, bushbuck, duiker, warthogs, monkeys). The rules are strict: no clothes are worn in the common areas (only a hat or T-shirt against the sun and a garment when it is cold are allowed), cameras and camera phones are banned to protect guests' privacy, pets are not allowed and any explicit sexual behaviour is ruled out. It welcomes families with children. Regulars rate it as excellent, stressing how peaceful the place is.
