Sonnenbad Rehwinkel is a day-use naturist club near Oberglatt, in the countryside north of Zurich: you don't sleep here, you spend the day. The grounds, run by an association with roots going back to 1937, lie in a protected area next to the Glatt river and consist of a large tree-lined lawn with a 6 by 12 metre pool, a children's pool, volleyball and pétanque courts, table tennis tables, grills, a communal fire and a small house with a kitchen. The atmosphere is that of a members' club, quiet and also suitable for families, with clear rules against voyeurism and sexist behaviour and a smoking ban on the grounds. Entry is for members, but those who want to try it can ask for a trial day or a guest card valid at weekends, writing in advance so that someone can be found to open up. You can also join on your own: the fees include single membership as well as couples and families. The season runs from May to October. Those who have been describe it as well kept and relaxing; Zurich airport is nearby and the planes can be heard.
