Sørlandets Naturistsenter (Isefjærleiren)

A naturist centre at the head of the Isefjord, between Kristiansand and Lillesand, in a sheltered bay with some of the warmest water on Norway's south coast. It is run by a small company set up to make it a holiday destination for naturists, with a great deal of volunteer work; the hosts Nina and Ivar are much appreciated by guests. You can stay in three cottages with a terrace on the fjord, in an apartment renovated in 2026, in the single, double and family rooms of a building with a shared kitchen, or with a tent, motorhome or caravan on the few spots along the shore and around the chapel; there is also a boat berth for those arriving by sea. Nudity is allowed everywhere and welcome on the beach when the weather permits, but it is not compulsory; on the road and in the car park, which are public, people cover up. The centre is aimed at families and does not tolerate sexualised behaviour. There is a small beach with a jetty, a sauna and a wood-fired hot tub, lit mainly at weekends, rowing boats and pedal boats, SUPs and bicycles available, billiards and darts in the common room, a kiosk with fresh bread to order and a chapel that presents itself as the only "naturist chapel" in Scandinavia. Around it there are marked trails and the archipelago to explore by boat or kayak. Peace, cleanliness and hospitality are the strong points; motorhome spots are few and must be booked, the facilities are a little dated and the last three kilometres are a narrow country road. A few years ago some complained of noisy parties.
