Naturism in Thailand: laws and customs →
Clothing optional

A naturist resort in the south of Phuket, in the village of Saiyuan in Rawai, a few minutes' drive from Nai Harn and Rawai beaches and a short walk from shops, bars and restaurants. It presents itself as Phuket's first resort for naturists and is run by a Thai couple, Patty and Golf; the current complex, opened in 2018, is modern and well kept: two-storey villa suites overlooking the shared pool (some with private pool and hot tub, kitchen and living room), superior rooms in a three-storey building, a family room with two bedrooms and a three-bedroom residence. There is a hot tub, a sauna, a small gym, in-room massages, a restaurant serving Thai and Western food and a poolside bar; breakfast is charged separately. Nudity is free everywhere except in the lobby, where you get dressed; sex is allowed only in the rooms and photos only with permission; the membership card of the Thai naturist association, of which the resort is a partner, can be obtained there but is not required. Community life is part of the stay: a weekly get-to-know-you aperitif, themed buffet dinners, parties for special occasions and above all speedboat trips to beaches and islands where you can be nude. Couples come here, and solo travellers too. Guests praise the staff, the cleanliness and the tranquillity; the most recurrent criticisms concern prices, considered high with tax and service charged on top.
