Dedicated naturist area

A small 13-room resort on the eastern tip of Roatán, in Honduras: a peninsula of about 16 acres between two beaches, coves, cliffs and mangroves, with the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef about a hundred metres from the shore. It is not an entirely naturist resort, and you should choose it knowing that. The property is divided into three zones: in the first (the restaurant and areas open to the public) swimwear is required; the second, which includes Bliss Beach, the beach bar and the paths leading to the rooms, is clothing optional during naturist weeks; the third, over six acres of secluded coves and paths, is always reserved for nudity. The calendar alternates naturist weeks and "classic" weeks: anyone looking for a fully naturist experience should book during the former, while in the others nudity is confined to the third zone. The rooms, in wooden buildings with balconies over the sea, are simple, and several guests describe a somewhat rustic place in need of work; on the other hand, almost everyone praises the staff, the family-run management and the peace and quiet. Packages include meals and snorkelling trips on the reef; there is also diving, kayaking and yoga on a platform overlooking the ocean, and 1.5 km of trails link beaches and viewpoints. The resort accepts day visitors (up to 30 a day) and the restaurant is open to outsiders, so you are never entirely among naturists. Closed in October.
