Naturist thermal oasis within the Villaggio della Salute Più, between Castel San Pietro Terme and Monterenzio (Bologna), set in an age-old chestnut forest in the Apennines and reachable by car along a stretch of dirt road. Around an ancient 13th-century farm estate there are two thermal springs recognised by the Ministry of Health (one sulphurous, one bicarbonate-sulphate-calcium), a panoramic pool with hydromassage, a lawn with sunloungers under a large chestnut tree, woodland trails and, inside the farmhouse, a sauna and Turkish bath, where the staff run highly appreciated Aufguss sessions. It is a day destination: you cannot stay overnight at Zello (the Villaggio does, however, have its own accommodation options). Access is included in the tickets and passes for the Villaggio's Acquapark, which can also be bought directly at Zello, with discounts for FENAIT members and members of other Italian naturist associations. It is a quiet, family-like place, enlivened by the caretaker Sergio; the only recurring criticism concerns the prices (about 30 euros admission on public holidays) and the lack of a proper food outlet.
