Naturistenvereniging Lotus (Kuinderloo)

Naturist ground of about 7 hectares (mostly broadleaf woodland) belonging to the Naturistenvereniging Lotus association, near Makkinga (Friesland, Netherlands). 80-85 permanent pitches for members and 15 guest pitches, plus three for motorhomes and a small tent area; also suitable for day visits. Heated pool (swimming is always nude), tennis court, pétanque court, free sauna, sunbathing lawn, children's play area, campfire area and a small bar (De Stins). Programme of summer activities (painting, klaverjas, bingo, live music, annual bike trip) and weekends dedicated to children, who pay nothing up to the age of 17. Access is for holders of a valid NFN card (Nederlandse Federatie Naturisme) or one from another naturist association, single men included; non-members can buy the NFN trial ticket a few times. Pets allowed, always on a lead. An area rich in nature (Drents-Friese Wold, Weerribben, Fochteloerveen) with cycling and hiking routes in the surroundings; some report that a nearby road can be heard at night.
