Historic naturist club in Vienna's 22nd district, inside the Lobau reserve: the grounds are divided into two parts, separated by the swimming bay on the Mühlwasser, an old arm of the Danube. Entry is for members only — even those coming for a holiday pay for a day card and must announce themselves beforehand by email — and naturism is not an option but the club's declared rule. In the main part (about 6 hectares) there are tree-lined lawns with picnic tables, hot showers, accessible toilets, a certified playground, a sauna and pitches for tents and caravans, available from early May to mid-September; motorhomes stay in a separate area of the car park because the land is a protected area. About a third of the space is taken up by permanent campers. Sport is part of everyday life and self-organised (volleyball, table tennis, gymnastics, indiaca, fitness equipment), and the location is an excellent starting point for cycling and excursions in the Donau-Auen National Park: the naturist beach on the Danube Island is about twenty minutes away by bike. Recent visitors describe a quiet, green, family-friendly place with a very present volunteer management; however, anyone who turns up at the gate without having written first or is looking for a one-night stop risks finding the doors closed — the minimum stay is two nights, German or English is spoken, and payment is cash only. Pets not allowed.
