Naturist Sporting Club Parco del Gargano

A small adults-only naturist club on fourteen hectares of woodland in the heart of the Gargano peninsula, in the hills of Ischitella, with the Adriatic opening up on the horizon. It is run by Maria and Mario, who relaunched a long-established venue with a focus on homemade Italian cooking and a personal welcome: the hostess cooks herself and in the evening everyone dines together. The centre of the day is the infinity pool overlooking the sea, with sun loungers, straw parasols and a pergola where lunch is served. There are ten bungalows for rent, painted in a colourful bohemian style and each different from the others, some with air conditioning and one accessible to disabled guests near the pool; those arriving with a tent or caravan will find pitches with electricity and water hookups spread across the grounds, a sanitary block and a chemical disposal point. A restaurant and bar, a fitness trail, wifi and a massage centre complete the offer. The rules ask for silence during siesta hours, forbid fires and individual barbecues, ask guests not to waste water, which is scarce on the site, and prohibit photographing other guests. Nudity is allowed everywhere and compulsory in the pool, where swimsuits are not permitted. The campsite follows FKK rules: all guests are required to have a naturist card, which can be bought on site, and the website explicitly addresses couples, singles, gay and straight people. Dogs are allowed for a fee, but not in the pool or the restaurant. The minimum stay is three nights; the season runs from 1 May to early September, but motorhomes are welcome all year round.
