Naturism in Italy: laws and customs →
Clothing optional

An old stone hamlet in the hills of the Mugello, between Florence and Romagna, open all year round. The rooms, created in a historic building, have been renovated with natural materials (stone, iron, wood) in a style that is both rustic and elegant. The heart of the experience is the wellness area: a panoramic Finnish sauna for up to 30 people, hot tubs and colour-therapy showers, and above all the natural pools carved into the rock of the Acerreta stream, with a sun deck on the stone. Naturism is free throughout the hamlet, indoors and out, but not compulsory: nudity is required only in the sauna. At weekends the sauna is also open to outside guests. The valley is isolated and has no mobile phone coverage, with trails for hiking and mountain biking nearby. Those who have stayed describe a very relaxing experience and a family-style welcome from the hosts.
