Naturism in Portugal: laws and customs →
Nudity required

A naturist campsite in the Alentejo, inland between Lisbon and the Algarve, run by a Dutch couple: very large pitches under the cork oaks for summer and in open, sunny fields for those spending the winter, plus a range of stone and wooden accommodation — two houses, three lodges and three "shepherd's huts" — scattered across the grounds. The centre of life is the saltwater pool, fed by the property's own spring, with terraces, sunloungers and the covered bar overlooking the rolling countryside; there is also a sauna, heated a few times a week in winter. It is open all year round and the mild climate makes it a wintering destination for motorhomes and caravans, with a strong Dutch and German presence. Guests agree on the cleanliness, the space and the family welcome; those looking for entertainment, nightlife or a proper restaurant will be disappointed — the bar has limited opening hours, there is often no food in the evening, and the shops are far away. Nudity is the norm when the weather allows and is compulsory in the pool.
