Naturist (policy unspecified)

A small naturist bed & breakfast with camping, run by an English couple (Kim and Steve) who have lived in Mayenne for more than ten years, deep in the countryside where the Pays de la Loire, Brittany and Normandy meet. It is a tiny, owner-run place, not a holiday village: a stone house with an en-suite double room, a glamping pod converted from a caravan and fitted with a kitchen and private hot tub, and a few pitches on the lawn for tents, motorhomes and, on occasion, a caravan. Access is reserved for naturists and adults — no children — while dogs are welcome on the campsite and in the pod, but not in the B&B. In the garden there is a small plunge pool, a hot tub, a communal barbecue, a bar kiosk and a large outdoor area for socialising; the owners prepare dinner on request and bicycles are available. It is highly appreciated, especially for the personal welcome (a guided tour on arrival, an invitation to the other guests' barbecue) and for the tranquillity; the village with a supermarket and restaurants is about ten minutes away by car, and the botanical garden Les Jardins des Renaudies is a quarter of an hour's walk away. English and French are spoken; the minimum stay is two nights.
