Dedicated naturist area

A small rustic campsite at the foot of the Canigou massif, in the Pyrénées-Orientales, about 8 km by mountain road above the valley floor, with a dedicated naturist area of about 2 hectares (pitches 38-44), an FFN partner, separated from the textile terraces lower down so that mixed naturist-textile families can stay at the same campsite. From the naturist area a route runs along a stream, and a trail of about two hours climbs the slopes of the Très Estelles. A 220 m² pool fed by mountain water, trails to the Carança gorges, close to the spa town of Vernet-les-Bains and the UNESCO-listed fortified village of Villefranche-de-Conflent. The long-standing manager, Jean, also organises Latin American and ballroom dance evenings. In 2025 and 2026 opinions are sharply divided: those who pitch a tent appreciate the silence, nature and starry sky, while the rental accommodation (caravans, mobile homes, chalets, yurt) receives heavy, repeated criticism over dirt, doors that do not lock and deposits not returned. There is also a share of permanent residents.
