Naturist (policy unspecified)

A naturist campsite in the Préalpes d'Azur, at 1,000 metres above sea level, in the heart of an 80-hectare wooded estate crossed by a river, between the Verdon and the French Riviera, run by the same family for over 50 years. Rated 4 stars, open from 1 May to 15 September. It has a 25-metre wood-heated pool, table tennis, a multi-sports court and a play area, a restaurant serving local cuisine in the evenings (closed on Sundays, with takeaway dishes), bread baked in a wood-fired oven and a small grocery; there is no evening entertainment. Chalets and mobile homes are grouped at the top, near reception, and the pitches for tents and motorhomes are spacious; the access road is steep and winding, difficult for large caravans and motorhomes. A naturist path leads down from the campsite to the Estéron river and the region lends itself to hiking, mountain biking, canyoning and climbing; in July and August a guided hike sets off from the campsite. The estate's woodland is PEFC certified and the wood chips it produces heat the pool and the hot water. Pets are not allowed. It is liked above all for its calm and scenery; some mention slightly dated facilities.
