A naturist village on the Atlantic coast of the Gironde, between the Arcachon Basin and Lacanau, an hour from Bordeaux: 127 hectares of pine forest with 756 colourful wooden chalets scattered among the pines and direct access to kilometres of white-sand naturist beach. It is not a campsite — there are no pitches, you rent a chalet — and it is designed for families: clubs for children and teenagers, a pony club, a thousand-square-metre heated pool complex with four pools, six tennis courts, padel, archery, yoga, a wellness centre and a golf course that the resort presents as the only naturist one in the world. In the village there is a supermarket, a restaurant, a bar, and visits from the butcher and the fishmonger. The resort's charter is clear-cut — “nudity is not an option” — but recently several guests have complained that in practice many people stay dressed and that the rule is not enforced. The other recurring criticisms concern the cleanliness of the chalets at check-in and the prices at the on-site minimarket.

Nudity required

Nudity is the rule and is strongly encouraged everywhere in the Domaine. […] By staying dressed when the weather conditions do not require it, you are not respecting others, who have chosen this way of life.
