FKK Campingplatz Sonnensport Salzburg

It is not a campsite but a day bathing area: the Sonnensport Salzburg club, active for seventy years, runs 25,000 square metres on the south-eastern shore of the Wallersee, partly inside a protected area, and it is the only naturist space in the Salzburg area. The grounds are a large, well-kept lawn with hedges, flower beds and fruit trees, two hexagonal communal houses with a fully equipped kitchen and a meeting room, facilities with hot showers, a brick barbecue and a jetty leading down into the lake. For leisure there is a volleyball court, boules pitches, a fitness trail, table tennis and a children's playground with a sandpit. There is no sleeping or camping: the place is visited by day and you stay there only unclothed, weather permitting. Access is reserved for members and for guests holding an INF card from another naturist club, while anyone wishing to join must write and make an appointment: no day admission for the public. Prospective members pay a contribution per visit (reduced for INF card holders) and after five visits in a season must apply for membership. The season runs from May to the end of October, with a calendar of club events (opening, boules tournament, sports and games day, barbecues, a solstice bonfire with DJ) and communal work days; dogs are not allowed. The nearest campsite, a textile one, is a short distance away. Suited to those who are already part of the organised naturist circuit and are passing through the Salzburg area, not to those looking for accommodation.
