An FKK campsite on the north-eastern shore of the Rätzsee, in the Mecklenburg Lake District, run since 2017 by Campingzeit am Rätzsee GmbH. It covers 5 terraced hectares between lakeside meadows and pine woods, with a beach and a jetty for swimming; it is open from April to October and is certified 4-star Superior by the Deutscher Tourismusverband/BVCD (and 4 stars by the Dutch ANWB). Nudity is compulsory only in the bathing area (beach, jetty and water); on the rest of the campsite it is welcome but optional, and, according to guests, almost everyone goes naked in good weather. It is part of the network of canoe waterways and lies directly on the Berlin–Copenhagen cycle route: kayak/canoe/SUP/rowing boat and bike hire, a "Kletterwald" playground and a water play area for children, a sauna, a communal kitchen and a new toilet and shower building with a family bathroom. You can stay on a pitch, in a rental caravan (one reserved for dog owners) or in two apartments; dogs and cats are allowed. The events calendar is packed (World Naturism Day, Sommertag, Neptunfest, the "Mecklenburgische Nacktwandertage" naked hiking days, a weekend for motorcyclists). The campsite describes itself as gay-run, presents itself explicitly as LGBTQ+ friendly, holds a Rainbow Camping Weekend every May and also welcomes solo travellers. The access road is unpaved and narrow. The overall verdict is very good.
