A naturist ecovillage in the Atlantic Forest on the north coast of Bahia, about an hour from Salvador and a few kilometres from the naturist beach of Massarandupió. It is a twofold project: on one side the Ecovila, a community of self-built houses made with permaculture and raw earth where people live permanently; on the other the Ecoparque, the part open to visitors, with simple rooms in a raw-earth building, a camping area, a shared kitchen, forest trails and swimming in the natural pools of the Timbituba river. The tone is not that of a holiday village: people come here for courses, retreats and "vivências" — permaculture, holistic therapies, circles and rituals — and those who have been mainly describe silence, spirituality and contact with the forest, not amenities. Vegetarian cooking with its own vegetable garden, dogs welcome, and on the last Sunday of the month a small craft fair of the neighbouring communities. Naturism is declared according to the INF/FBrN code of ethics, but in the Ecoparque's recent posts it appears as an optional space ("Espaço naturista (opcional)") alongside the hospitality in the forest, not as a rule for the whole area. Suited to those seeking real nature and community life in a handmade, basic setting; those looking for comfort, entertainment or hotel-style organisation should look elsewhere.
