Nudity required

One of the largest and best-known naturist villages in Europe: 45 hectares of pine forest in the Landes, with direct access to the naturist beach on the Atlantic Ocean (about a quarter of an hour on foot from the furthest inland areas). Officially rated 4 stars, it offers a wide range of accommodation (pitches for tents/caravans/motorhomes, chalets, cottages, bungalows, caravans, cabanes), a large aquatic area with heated indoor and outdoor pools, a wellness area with spa, sauna and hammam, daily sports activities, nature activities with a permaculture vegetable garden, dance evenings and programmes for children and teenagers. Nudity is compulsory and essential in all bathing areas; you may cover up because of cold, sport or medical reasons, modest children and teenagers are allowed a sarong or towel out of the water, and in the evening at the restaurant or at parties a garment may be requested. Those coming alone must be introduced or recommended by other guests, or show a valid naturist club card. Pets allowed, but only one dog per pitch. Open from early April to the end of September; at the end of the season the bar, restaurant and shop reduce their hours and the lifeguards leave in mid-September. Guests' verdict remains good overall, with praise for the pine forest, the beach and the aquatic area; several long-standing guests, however, complain of rising prices, less well-kept toilet facilities and a less warm welcome than in the past.
