Domaine de Bélézy

A large, historic naturist domaine at the foot of Mont Ventoux in Provence, built around a 17th-century mas and a park of centuries-old trees, a stone's throw from the village of Bedoin. Naturism is taken seriously here: the internal charter, which refers to the 1974 INF-FNI definition, commits guests to full-time nudity, with the only exceptions being the weather or temporary physical impediments. The heart of the place is its three pools overlooking the Ventoux, among olive trees and Provençal gardens, open from May to October from 9 am to 9 pm, alongside a wellness and balneotherapy centre, a bar-restaurant, a shop, an educational farm and a playground. The programme for school-age children is extensive (mini-club, kids' and teens' clubs in high season) and cars stay in the car park for much of the season, which makes the place unusually quiet. You can stay on a pitch or in a very wide range of rental accommodation: air-conditioned mobile homes, chalets, lodge tents, caravans and even a dormitory. Be aware, however, of the change of management to the Capfun group, which over the last two years has dominated guests' opinions: many long-standing guests speak of reduced entertainment, outdated toilet facilities and a naturist identity perceived as weaker, while occasional visitors continue to praise the place, the pool and the tranquillity. Pets are allowed on pitches, for a fee and on a lead, but not in rental accommodation.
