Naturism in Brazil: laws and customs →
Nudity required

The first naturist village in Latin America, founded in 1995 by Celso Rossi and Paula Andreazza; since 2001 it has been run as a non-profit civil association (Clube Naturista Colina do Sol, CNCS). Around 50 hectares on a hill 20 km from Taquara (Rio Grande do Sul), with rustic cabanas in pine/eucalyptus and local stone, a swimming pool with a hot tub, a river beach with kiosks, a multi-sport field, a playground and a restaurant overlooking the lake. Nudity is mandatory in the social area (topless is tolerated for women during their period). Children are welcome (exempt from the entrance fee up to age 12, if accompanied by those responsible for them); pets are allowed in a dedicated area of the club. Strict rules on behaviour and privacy (photographing other naturists without permission is absolutely forbidden, as is overt sexual behaviour). Since 1 February 2026, following recent incidents, access for unaccompanied (single) visitors without an INF-FNI card (Brazilian Naturism Federation) has been restricted to guests invited by a member present on site. Overall guests' opinion is very good; criticisms mainly concern the entrance fee, considered high, and, in one isolated incident, disrespectful behaviour by another visitor.

Nudity required
Colina do Sol is a naturist area, where people can walk around naked at any time of year. We will not force anyone to undress during the cold winter days, but we also hope we will not be forced to have our beautiful landscape of naked bodies dotted with clothed people when the temperature is pleasant, especially in the social area, where nudity is mandatory.
- Children welcome
- Pets allowed
